The process is very similar to a wood-burning fireplace but uses seaweed in gas furnace instead of wood. "I really think a lot of people could benefit from this, but I don't have the means to do it on my own." The seaweed burning heating source has been tested in 20 homes throughout the Pacific Northwest. All individuals reported that the homes felt warmer and that they didn't have to rely upon electric or gas furnaces to heat their homes." Bob Dodger decided to create an alternative heating source that could heat up entire households just from burning a couple of feet of seaweed every day.
